Exiled IIOJK business tycoon Dr. Mubeen Shah calls for influence upon G-20 countries not to attend any moot in disputed Kashmir
MIRPUR (AJK), (Parliament Times): Veteran exiled Kashmir business community elder – the former President of Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry, occupied Srinagar Dr. Mubeen Shah has urged upon Pakistan to exert more influence upon the countries like Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, China, Indonesia, Brazil, South Africa with a request not to attend any meetings of G20 in the internationally-acknowledged disputed Indian occupied Jammu Kashmir State.
Dr. Shah, also formerly President of Jammu Kashmir Joint Chamber of Commerce & Industry said while talking to our special Jammu Kashmir Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao from Istanbul on Monday that since time was running out, Pakistan, All Parties Hurriyat Conference and Kashmir Diaspora community shall have to put its act together to frustrate the fast deteriorating situation caused by the increased human rights abuses by the Indian occupational forces in the occupied Jammu Kashmir State where the population has waged a struggle for the liberation of the motherland from Indian forced and unlawful occupation.
He continued that it was enjoined upon the Diaspora and Hurriyat to activate their people in all liberal democracies like the UK, Canada, Italy, Japan, and South Korea to do advocacy with these governments to stop them from attending G-20-like meetings in view of the globally-recognized disputed status of the state.
Dr. Mubeen strongly suggested saying “we, the Diaspora can start a movement in these countries to go directly to the public to put pressure on their governments – since now we have a situation that even citizens of other countries like Britain can go to extent of canceling acquired citizenship without recourse to courts till the person is in that country. Such a person has to go out of that country to fight his case and the provision in the law is till the court decides such persons will be handed over to the country of origin which in a maximum number of cases in India”, he underlines adding “a situation will arise that what was happening in Indian occupied Jammu Kashmir will happen internationally with Kashmiri activists silenced as shown explicitly in a documentary on BBC URDU’a popular program on current affairs – https://youtu.be/92-Yc0RNWsc, why are people afraid to speak up?
The former President Jammu Kashmir Joint Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the forum of the business community of Azad Jammu Kashmir and Indian-occupied Jammu Kashmir, stated that in fact, the Indian state wanted to raise the false claim creating a narrative that everything was all right and returned to normal in IIOJK and the investment was coming because people have accepted what has happened after 5th August 2019. “This is absolutely false Indian claim and move since not a single subject of the State of Jammu & Kashmir has accepted the forced and unlawful August 05, 2019, Indian sinister move.
“These narratives created are false as Kashmiris every time solicited investments for the economic betterment of Kashmir”, Dr. Shah Added.
Living in exiled life in Turkey, Dr. Mubeen Shah said “the only problem was that after August 2019 Kashmiri’s economic spaces should not be occupied by Indians and as such welcome investments from the world”.
“Kashmir is famous for tourism and is also called the Switzerland of the East”, Dr. Shah said and continued that the Indian state uses the increase of tourism to create an absolutely false and baseless narrative of acceptance of Indian rule in Kashmir.
“ As a result of freedom of Kashmir from the Indian occupation, I am sure that the number of tourists will reach 5 million per month – since the bleeding vale of Kashmir is enriched with huge potential in Tourism”, he revealed observing that the occupied Jammu Kashmir State can survive on it alone economically”.
